Types of copper wire that can help you in daily usage

In the present time when it comes to electric wiring then the name of copper wire comes on the top. Now anything that has to do with electronic devices or electric, in the construction process copper wire acts as a primary ingredient. Electric motors, speakers, stereo systems, the power lines, television sets, cars and airplanes – in every kind of electrical equipment the copper wire is widely used throughout the world.

Copper wire is divided into different types, and different types of wires are used in different kinds of purposes. Now we will discuss about different types of copper wires used in the present time.

· Plain Copper wire: this type of copper wire is single-strand wire that is available in various

gauges. This type of copper wire is used to prepare conduit and for powering trolleys, electric trains and subway trains.

The plain copper wire also used extensively in electrics to form different types of point-to-point connections. This type of wire usually used after applying coating or glazing onto it, such coating allows the wire to be used for , spear voice coils, solenoids or very small wires, electric motor armature winding.

· Tin-Coated copper wire: this type of copper wire is primarily used in the similar ways of plain copper wire. the basic different between these two types of wires is the tin coated wire helps to protect the copper from oxidation which protects the wear from the elements. First the tin-coated copper wire is annealed and after doing so the wire is coated in tin and that is done either by electroplating process or by a hot-dip process.

· Tinsel copper wire: this is a type of braided copper wire which is flattened and after that given a cover. The cover used here is made of different materials, including cotton, Nomex, silver threads, Kevlar and Nylon. This type of copper wire has high flexibility and that’s why one of the most admired types of copper wire. The tinsel wire is primary used in loudspeakers.

· Braided copper wire: this type of wire is much stronger than solid copper wire and it is much more capable to withstand much more loads than the normal type of copper wire; therefore the braided copper wire is primarily used in all those areas where higher level of flexibility is required.

So, now you must have understood different types of copper wires.
