Use of copper in various forms

Copper is one of the most widely used metals in the industries. It is used in different forms to make copper metal suitable for different uses. Copper is modified into copper braided wire, tinned copper, copper rod and copper bar. Even bare copper wire and braided connectors are used widely. There are various industries that make use of copper for daily operations. With high quality and durability, copper wire in India is used for many purposes. There are many advantages of using copper. Copper wire in India is ductile, corrosion resistant, conducive and less vulnerable to electro mechanical.

Bare copper wire has significant role in cable industries and it is widely used as a base for cable. Tinned copper wire is also used widely and is known for its durability and strength. Tinned copper in India can be manufactured in two ways - hot-dip process and electroplating. In hot dip process, copper strands are dipped in melted tin. In electroplating rectifier and electrical charge is used to tin the copper.

Copper wire is used widely for electrical purpose. Few of the reasons are as follow – easy availability, good compatibility, it can be joined easily and it has national wide approval. Electrical copper wire is in fact the only wire that has been approved by all electrical codes in India.
