Copper wire is the most preferable and

towards copper wire: the most important being that copper has comparatively high

There are several steps involved in the
manufacturing of copper wire.
First step: In the first step, the raw
copper is mined and crushed so as to make it compatible for manufacturing as
wire.
Second Step: In the second step, the crushed
copper ore is grinded and processed in giant machines, which converts it into
fine power. There are cylindrical and rotational machines which performs this
action.
Third Step: Once the power has been formed,
it is concentrated so as to remove the waste slag. The oxide which is formed is
then leached in weak acid solution, thereby creating a weak copper sulphate
solution.
Fourth Step: In this process, electrolytic
process is being used to treat this weak solution. This is called electro
winning.
Fifth Step: This process is known as
smelting. Thermal heat and chemicals are used to change the oxidation state of
the copper oxide solution. This results in 99% pure copper being formulated.
Sixth Step: In this step, the copper ions
are electrolytically processed, wherein they are transferred from anodes to thin
sheets of copper called started sheets. Once the cathodes are formed, these are
transferred to wire rods.
Seventh Step: In the last step, these rods
are made to pass through the drawing die, which elongates them and is converted
into thin shreds of wire, which are again chemically processed to draw out
required copper wire of specific diameters.
