copper wire Advantages

Copper is an important metal and fortunately it is found abundantly approximately in all parts of the world. This is one of the most useful metals and luckily it is not costly at all. Copper is used in various products, one of then is copper wire; it is used in almost all the electric appliances. Copper wire is a very good conductor of heat and electricity, its malleability and ductility properties are its additional features. Copper is also used for making different products like silver copper wire, tin coated copper wire, power cable etc.

Copper is the core element for the almost all the cable industries. It is easily extracted from the mines; generally copper is not found alone, it is often mixed with the ores of other elements as well. After passing through proper channel of purification the metal comes into its original form; then after it is molded into the desirable shape and size.

Glass Wire

Copper wire is considered ideal for the usage in electric and electronic appliances. The thickness defines the amount of electricity that it can behold, it can carry from the very low voltage to the higher voltage used in the transformers or even the electric grids. Copper wire has no option; it is widely used in the electronic circuit plates, home cables and industrial purposes. Its braided wire contains the maximum voltage, because the electric flows on the outer surface of the wire hence the amount of electricity increases as the surface area increases. This is the reason why a single wire contains the least amount of electricity while the bunch of wire contains the larger amount.

The tin coating on the copper wire is done through tow processes, the first one is electrolytic process in which the wire is electronically coated with tin, in this process the coating is done evenly and the thickness of tin can be maintained easily, where as the second the process is hot dip process. In this process the wire that has to be coated has to be passed though the melted tin and the coating is done automatically. In this process the coating is not very fine as compared to the electrolytic process. This is how tin coated copper wire is prepared.

Glass wire is a special wire, in which the glass is coated on the outer surface of the wire. The coating of glass is done in areas or appliances where the temperature varies tremendously. There are some of the geographical locations where the wire has to pass through extreme climatic conditions. The glass coating prevents the wire from getting oxidized. The appliances that use very high voltage may damage the naked wire, so to prevent from the extreme high temperature glass coating is done.
