Tinsel Copper Wire |
Copper wire
is used as an electrical conductor in various kinds of electrical equipment.
Copper wire is used in power transmission, power generation,
telecommunications, power distribution, electronic circuitry and many more. The
alloys of copper are also helpful in making electrical contacts.
There are
many kinds of copper wires available in the market. Some of them are braided
copper wire, bare copper wire, tin coated copper wire, tinsel copper wire,
nickel copper wire, silver plated copper wire, plain copper wire and so on.
In this
blog, we will discuss about one of the most used kinds of copper wire, Tinsel
Copper Wire.
Tinsel Copper Wire is an electrical wire with low voltage. It is
usually found in cables used for telephones, headphones and especially
handset cords. Because of its ductility it is way more resistant to
deterioration as a result of metal exhaustion than a
normal copper wire.
Tinsel wire
is also very productive when used in power cords for small electronic equipment
like clocks or electric shavers, where normal cable conductors of sufficient
mechanical size would be rigid.
It is made
by covering it with several threads of metal foil over a textile core or a
ductile nylon. As the foil used for wrapping is thin and durable, it diminishes
the probability of metal exhaustion. And not to forget the textile core gives
strength and ductility to the wire.
Hey,
ReplyDeleteVery True!!
Copper wire is being used in electrical equipments..& it is the most affordable semi conductor used in power transmission, power generation etc.
Very Useful Information.
