Steps of Manufacturing Copper Wires

Copper wires are extensively used for various applications in different industries. For this, manufacturer has to ensure that he delivers nothing but the best. Therefore, series of steps are involved in the process of manufacturing special cables of copper such as winding wire or submersible cable. With the manufacturing process, firms have to follow certain quality standards. The entire process of manufacturing copper wire special cables such as braided copper rope includes series of steps. Following are the steps of manufacturing of copper wires or cables:

•    First of all, metal is crushed and passes through large machines for converting metal into powder. During the process, the waste slag is removed from the metal.

•    Then, the metal is worked upon and gets converted into pure copper cathode by several steps like leaching, electro winning, smelting and electrolytic refining. After all these, metal is finally casted into wire rods.

•    The copper rods get pulled from the drawing die with narrower ends. This process forces the copper rod's to shrink in diameter and be of longer length.

•    After application of pressure it is time for one of the most important part of copper wire manufacturing namely annealing process. Under this, heat is applied to the finally formed wires. The process is meant for bringing required flexibility to the wire.

•    The next step is electroplating, which is optional for forming different types of special cables namely tinned, braided or stranded copper rope or metal coated wires. The metal is re-crystallized in the process of annealing and is then ready to use for various purposes.

All leading manufacturers of copper wire products follow above mentioned steps of manufacturing process, thereby, ensure superior quality of their products. Come to us and explore our exclusive range of copper cables, stranded copper wires and so much more. For more information Visit US...
