Internet has become an indispensable part of people’s daily lives. Transmission of data through encoding and subsequent superimposition on electrical signals forms the foundation for the edifice of internet working. Twisted pair can be classified into Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) or Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP). UTP has copper wire pairs twisted to different degrees and bundled together in a way so as to reduce crosstalk. STP has just individual pairs shielded or a combination of shielding of individual pairs coupled with an overall shield over the bundled twisted copper wires.
