Understanding Electrical Conductivity Of Copper Wire

When we connect a copper wire with a battery and switch, then electricity passes along the wire and several processes are kick-started. Understanding these processes is very crucial if one wants to analyze the electrical conductivity of copper wires.

In general, the electrons move randomly within the metal. However, as soon as we close the switch, electric current starts to flow within the wire. Hence, the previously randomly moving electrons are now galvanized due to the electric current, and the start moving from the negative side to the positive side of the battery.
