It cannot be denied that wires at times look messy. But the
solution to this problem is opting for
flat copper wires. It is a square or rectangular shaped wire which has been
rolled in the form of a big round mother roll. These cables are way more easy
to use with better quality. The narrowness of this wire saves it from any kind
of pressure.
Now, let us discuss some of the reasons for using flat copper wires:
- Reliability: The easiness of the flat cable and its high conductivity removes many of the common problems in wiring error and breakdowns.
- Weight reduction: Using flat cables, most of the times, removes the usual weight of the wire. Stuffs like; fillers, tapes and insulation material are not needed anymore.
- Space Efficiency: Eradicating the use of tapes and fillers reduces the volume of the flat cables. A rectangular cross-section lets the flat cables to stack with nearly anything, with no missed dead space among the cables.
- Flexibility: Flat cables are very flexible when twisted to put in a plain or cross-section areas. This flexibility has been used in equipment in which constant or high-flexing is essential, e.g. doors, drawers, rotating arms, and many more.
- Better Strength: Strength is boosted by
the fact that all insulation and conductors correspondingly share tensile
loads.
Flat copper wires bend freely, follows to the high held areas, attaches easily with locks, and eliminates the need of installation and fastening problems associated with the round wire cabling.
